V.T. Eric Layton
There was a little blurb in my local paper today about a company here in Florida that restores/sells surplus office computer equipment. It's called Bargain Computers and Electronics. They have tons of great systems for sale on eBay. Check it out --> http://stores.ebay.com/Bargain-Computer-Products Have fun! raymac46
Pretty good prices that's for sure. If you could get an HP desktop for $75 with a new license of Win 7 they are giving the hardware away. Have to check back later to see the actual final auction price though. V.T. Eric Layton
Judging from the set prices at Goodwill for the equipment provided by the same company, the desktops are going for about $190 and the laptops for $250. They may go cheaper on eBay, though... different clientèle than your average Good Will store shopper.
zlim
I buy refurbed computers here https://www.buyusedpcs.com/ They are a certified MS refurbisher. The Win 7 Dell desktop I bought for my hubby in March came with a genuine MS Win 7 disk labeled to be included with a refurbished pc.! All that for $189. And a new keyboard and mouse in unopened cartons came with it. I've steered a few friends there to buy equipment and I have yet to hear a complaint. It is within driving distance so I call, order what I want (I had them install additional RAM) and get a call when it is ready for pickup. I bought something like this for my husband https://www.buyusedpcs.com/shop/dell-optiplex-745-3-4ghz-windows-7-pro-a-unit/ Edited December 4, 2013 by zlim
V.T. Eric Layton
That's a nice site too, Liz. Great prices on the smaller LCD monitors! By the way, the one I posted in the opening post here is also an certified MS refurbisher (1 or only 38 nationwide, supposedly).
