crp
We have addressBook entries that we exported from msOutlook to an OpenLDAP running on CentOS5.5Since the data came from msOutlook, thunderbirds's addressBook is useless as a tool to view these items.I'd also like for users to be able to view the items without the need to install software. Is there a way to have a broswer interface that would display the addressBook items in a user friendly manner and allow for searching on at the least the Name field? bonus would be if the user could update items as well.Failing the browser option, is there a windows software option that would accomplish this? So far what I've seen does not display the data in an addressBook format but as an ldap browse - which is not pretty or useful for this. Peachy
Here are some LDAP gui-browsers:http://phpldapadmin.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Pagehttp://www.corendal.com/products/corendal-directoryYou can also use Evolution (GNOME) and KAddressBook (KDE) that came with your distro if you want to directly connect to an LDAP server or Active Directory. I would perhaps install ldap-server and then import the ldif file from Outlook if that's possible.
