zlim
A chance remark by someone at another forum may be why my Firebird refuses to work in 98 and 2K but works on ME. If you have local shortcuts in your IE favorites Firebird will hang on startup.Since ME doesn't have the bookmarks that the other two do, that might be my problem. What is a local shortcut? I'll remove it, once I can figure out what I'm looking for.
GolfProRM
a local shortcut would be anything that points to a location on your harddrive. (i.e. a shortcut to C:\windows)... You might also try moving everything out of your favorites folder (to a temp folder somewhere) and then try FB. Once it works the first time, you can put them back. zlim
It worked, it worked, it worked! I'm posting this from my woody-themed Firebird browser in 2K. Though, it is a lot slower than IE on this computer. I'm going to fireup IE and see if the site is loading slow or it is the browser.I've another tool in my bag of tricks, discovering why Firebird might not work for some. :thumbsup:discovered it is the site...not the browser - both browsers are falling asleep while waiting to find the server. GolfProRM
They're doing server maintenance, so it's going to be slow for awhile
