The Microsoft October 2025 security updates have been released and consist of 177 new CVEs to Microsoft products. Of the Microsoft CVEs released, 16 are rated Critical, 1 moderate and the rest are rated Important in severity. At the time of release, three are listed as being publicly known and three are listed as under active attack. The security updates apply to the following products, features and roles: Windows and Windows Components, Office and Office Components, Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based), Azure, Hyper-V, .NET and Visual Studio, Github, Exchange Server, BitLocker, and Xbox. Mozilla sent Firefox Version 144.0 to the release channel. The update includes fourteen security updates of which seven (7) are rated critical, six (6) rated moderate, and one (1) is rated low. The security updates can be reviewed here. New features and a change are included in the update. To review the new features, see the Release Notes. Update: To get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu and pick "About Firefox". Mac users need to select "About Firefox" from the Firefox menu.
