Hard to believe I never heard of this one before. Basically cowsay for X. It's in Debian repo. https://www.doof.me.uk/xcowsay/   Includes xcowfortune to display messages from fortune to energise your day:   You can even display dream images:     😉😎 It's one of those slow tinkering aimlessly on the computer days. 🤣

rsync and fsarchiver do all the backups I need. We don't need no steenkin' GUI. 😁   Kopia looks pretty good though.

For me, LuckyBackup is the sweet spot of features versus usability.  With rsync as the back-end, and a QT-based front-end GUI, LuckyBackup is perfect for ME.  Back when I first joined this forum, I wrote a LuckyBackup tutorial for this forum.  I was strongly encouraged by VT/Eric the Nocturnal Slacker to do that; and I'm not saying this was the case, but it felt like I was being tested to see if I was worthy of contribution to the forum.  Did the best I could, and I guess I passed the test, because I think I remember VT telling me he was an admin and he cross-posted my tutorial in a thread for that.  I never heard anything else about the LuckyBackup tutorial again....which only served to reinforce the notion that it was a test?!  LOL!   But I digress....Kopia looks interesting....like a good option.  I like options...."good options" are even better!  Thanks for the find Barbarous one!
