Good information to know. Now that you mention it, I do remember way back when Edge was first introduced hearing about it being created through Chromium. I never used Edge so I never really thought much into it.

There is a good reason for it. So Microsoft did not develop Edge. Edge is literally chrome rebranded as they used chromium to create it. You can install edge extensions in chrome and vice versa. Lots of sites identify Edge as Chrome lots of times (I see it at work).
