I have had NO issues whatsoever.  In fact, an older Epson AIO inkjet provided a pretty nice scanner GUI with the linux DEB!  I still prefer gscan2pdf, for the numerous options.  but for a quick scan to PDF or jpg, the Epson GUI was a nice go to!   https://askubuntu.com/questions/1303419/installing-epson-iscan-for-linux   EDIT:  Epson provides Linux drivers for NUMEROUS devices, but states on website they will not provide support for Linux drivers.  I view this as a non-issue, as I'm used to troubleshooting my own issues on non-official support forums; as I suspect many/most Linux users are.  I was just THRILLED to discover linux-specific drivers provided BY the vendor/manufacturer.  I can support that....and I DO!

Many talks from DebConf are streamed live. Hopefully this one will be available to also watch later, sounds interesting.   Arch wiki is the definitive wiki for Linux. I also refer to it regularly to help with issues on Debian. Debian wiki is OK mostly but some pages don't get enough love and become outdated, and some don't exist.

Well, the bright side to all this is that I now have Arch installed on a machine with 8 GB of RAM. I can run mainstream browsers like Firefox and don't have to use the "lightweight" browsers any longer.
