Windows 10 is scheduled to reach end of support on October 14, 2025.  However, you can enroll your PC in Windows 10 Extended Security Updates and continue receiving security updates for one year. Nearly all residential appraisal software is Windows only, with a few available for OSX.  But I only perform commercial appraisals, which are spreadsheet heavy and in narrative format.  LibreOffice is perfectly fine for me.  Although most of my peers are wide-eyed when I tell them I don't use MS Office or Windows.  If I performed residential appraisals, I would definitely have to use windows....there are only 2-3 major vendors, and all but 1 is Windows only.  Ironically, all provide android/ios apps for tablets.
