Teletext was a text based video system to display information on screens back in the 1970s-80s. This app allows you to use a rpi to do the same with your TV.

right, saw it was for RPi, but is just an early form of chatting?  It's not like "naim", which I used many years ago or is it?  I am not planning on doing this, I'm just curious about what it is.  Tnx

No, it's for digital signage. It was used by businesses and such before digital ones.
