[Solved] Add {SOLVED} to Title When Issue Resolved

Recommended Posts

In the Linux Forum it would be nice to be able to put "SOLVED" in the Title when a problem is solved so others looking for a answer will know if a answer was found. Same for the windows forum.

You can. Just click Edit and then click Use Full Editor.

BTW, it's always been there ;)

I tried that and it did not work for me. will try again. I have tried it again on 2 different posts and it did not work. are you sure you don't have to be a moderator or something for it to work. I click on the full editor but it won't let me add solved to the title.

You're correct. The post title isn't accessible when editing a post. It is a moderator action.

Wow, I didn't even realize this. I guess that I have had privs for so long that I didn't even know that it required admin/mod rights.

I can change the title for you if you wish.

I discovered it when attempting to edit a typo in the title. :)

OK, I edited the title of this thread (snark). ;)

I re-edited the title of this thread to illustrate the way titles are edited in other forums to show solved. :)

The reason [solved] is added at the beginning of the title is because it stands out more clearly. As we've all learned over the years, many people only read so far and stop. This way, it shows immediately that the issue has been solved.
