securitybreach
Bentonville, AR — Walmart today announced plans to install mini surface-to-air missile batteries on the rooftops of all 4,786 store locations across the United States. The missiles will exclusively target Amazon Prime Air drones. The new concept called Walmart Megatron is the latest effort to drive customers back to retail locations. While Walmart’s growth has remained steady, it has been unable to keep pace with online retailers such as Amazon. “Customers are consistently choosing convenience over traditional in person retail shopping,” John Simmons, head of Walmart’s Megatron division tells us. “We face a problem in the coming years. Either we do what we can to increase convenience, something the retail division has failed to do, or we start declaring war on online retailers. Personally I am ready to blow up some drones.”.. http://www.rockcityt...-amazon-drones/ Thanks Adam

V.T. Eric Layton
I saw Pizza Hut and Papa John's delivery drones going at each other about 500' up on the next block over. They both crashed. All the neighbors came out to eat the survivors.

V.T. Eric Layton
They've already installed a battery at the Walmart near my house... You can't see it from this view, but each of the missiles has one of these painted on it...
sunrat
Was that on The Onion? Seriously, they just need a bit of creative hacking - Hacker-built drone can hunt, hijack other drones The way the FAA are dragging their feet, it will be decades before anyone can legally operate multicopters commercially in the US. Currently they can only be used for "experimental" purposes with special permission, or hobby use in approved places. There are several court cases under way against illegal users. Australia is way ahead with licences available for commercial operators (who can run the business) and controllers (who can fly for an operator). Not easy to get thankfully and have strict usage guidelines. There are currently about 33 licensed operators in Australia Also for lulz:
