sunrat Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Inspired by Acadia's Sweden video, I thought it may be a good idea to have a thread where we can post beautiful or inspirational videos. I'll start, here's an amazing tilt/shift view of some beautiful places. Watch full screen in HD! Little Big World <Edit - Added criteria for this thread>: Note: my criteria for posting videos in this thread, at least 3 of these: - Superb production values - Makes my jaw drop and say "Wow!" - Brings a tear to my eyes - Just plain inspiring - Makes me want to watch it again 1 Quote
Guest LilBambi Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) Great idea! Makes me wish for better true wired broadband instead of paying through the nose for 14GB per month on Verizon Wireless. LOL! Edited July 14, 2013 by LilBambi Quote
crp Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 What is the secret to be able to watch this? Isn't vimeo a pay site? Quote
Webb Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Vimeo is free but, like YouTube, it may only be available in certain countries. Quote

Guest LilBambi Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Please remember that this is for 'awesome' videos of the nature of the first video. If your video doesn't fit with that, please remove it and only post videos that are uplifting like the first one...a truly awesome video. Thanks for your help in keeping this on topic. Quote

sunrat Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 What is the secret to be able to watch this? If Vimeo gives you trouble (which it does load very slowly for me sometimes), here is a link to Little Big World YouToob channel:- http://www.youtube.c...p&shelf_index=0 The 3 clips included in my first link are I didn't embed them in the post as you can't watch in full HD that way. Guest LilBambi Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Thanks for the Youtube links too sunrat! Quote
sunrat Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 I've watched this one many times and it always makes me a little bit teary. It is a music video but the filmwork and story are just beautiful, and I like the song. Plus some of the shots are excellent multicopter shots using a Canon 5D. Great music, video and helis all in one; life is good! Once again I post links so you can watch in full HD, embedded doesn't do it justice. I think Vimeo quality is a bit better. sunrat Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 very creative dance. one wishes such happened in real life (last vid) but tear jerker anyway. It definitely does happen, just usually in smaller, less dramatic incidences. BTW, re your last post, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is a great movie. We have it here on DVD. Recommended. Quote

But they are both excellent. The book is much better than the movies as they always are. Read them all! Saw them all ... enjoyed them all. Quote

abarbarian Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 In one of the most remarkable things we have ever seen, sand animation artist Kseniya Simonova takes us on a heart breaking journey of a young couple getting separated during World War II. This performance brought the audience to tears and won Kseniya the title of "Ukraine's Got Talent". Exquisite. http://vimeo.com/62576661 You Tube link If it helps whilst watching think of the 40 million or so civilians killed in Europe in WW2. Quote
