Guest LilBambi
SpaceX Successfully Launches Dragon Into Orbit - UniverseToday “Falcon flew perfectly!! Dragon in orbit, comm locked and solar arrays active!! Feels like a giant weight just came off my back ,” Tweeted Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO. “The entire team at SpaceX and at NASA should be commended for their success on this third test flight of the Falcon 9 rocket,” said former astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria, who is now the President of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation. “The preparations and precautions taken by SpaceX and NASA in months past have contributed to their exemplary performance today. After seeing the smooth launch SpaceX just executed, it is easy to forget that this is indeed rocket science.” Awesome! Official launch time of 07:44:38 UTC/3:44:38 a.m.

V.T. Eric Layton
Excellent! I was so hoping for a trouble free mission for these guys. I hope the rest of the mission is a 100% success, too!
Guest LilBambi
Me too, Eric! It is especially nice to see private sector SpaceX working well with NASA in a common goal.
Temmu
i trust spacex will continue its success. i have been a huge fan of theirs since i heard about them. they are our only best hope of inexpensive space flight. (they have the heaviest heavy-lift capacity in world, currently. even including all space faring government projects like nasa.) ross549
They have a heavier launch capability than SeaLaunch? http://www.sea-launch.com/ Adam
Temmu
their falcon-9 is the heaviest heavy lift in use. the russians have a proton that can have strap-ons that make it heavier, but they do not do so.
