Neil P
Mozilla 1.6a has just been released. As usual, this is alpha software so expect some bugs, but don't let them stop you from running it (it is still very stable most of the time; use it and you can help report bugs!). Release notes are here, go check it out!It seems a lot of improvements have been made to the Mail/News component, so be sure to check out What's New in Mozilla 1.6 Alpha and Known Issues! nilson
Good to see a new milestone, but I'm not using SeaMonkey. I have Mozilla 1.5 installed on Windows and Mozilla 1.3.1 on Linux, but I use Firebird/Thunderbird on both.

havnblast
is this being built on the firebird core yet?
Neil P
Do you mean are they making the switch to Firebird/Thunderbird? Because that won't happen for awhile, and it will be gradual.
nilson
Now they are going to do the switch when TB/FB reach 1.0. I guess this will give more time for things like the standalone calendar and composer to mature enough to be a vialble option. They also must work on making a separate componentized GRE, so as not to include four copies of Gecko, which weighs about 5 megabytes.
