brucekrymow
Dell Inspiron 5100 Notebook, new.Start > Turn off computer > Restart does not restart, but shuts down the unit and must power pack up via the power button.Power management is handled by XP Home, Hibernation disabled, all auto standby features disabled.Any ideas how to restart through the OS as one normally would? RandomBox
Can you remap some of the keyboard functions to control these power functions as you see fit? Most keyboards allow such QuickKey assignments.I know it is not the answer you are looking for but it has been a few days with no suggested resolution! brucekrymow
Hi, RB ~Mapping the keyboard would not apply as first this is not a function of the keyboard and second, initiating the restart results in a shutdown rather than a restart, regardless of how initiated.
