dalegtr18
Anyone know a good registry compare tool that I can download to compare existing reg files? I am working on a problem and made a copy of my registry before and after install of a video card and drivers. The 2-3 registry tools I downloaded will only allow me to take a snapshot BEFORE the changes, then let me compare afterward.
zlim
I've used Regshothttp://www.majorgeeks.com/download965.htmlI'm not sure if this is the one I finally decided that I liked the best. I'll look for some screenshots. I can tell from that.I think this is the one I liked the best Total Uninstall http://www.martau.com/index.phpit probably started out as a free version. I'll see if I can track down an old free version.Well, that was easy! This is the last freeware versionhttp://freeware4u.com/modules/mydownloads/...ile.php?lid=234 Edited January 31, 2007 by zlim

dalegtr18
Thanks Zlim! I will download these and and check them out tonight. Is there also a txt compare tool? I found out the txt file with all the Windows files I want to compare is around 200 pages long!!! A little too much needle in a haystack for my taste!>>Do not install without TU ?? What is TU? zlim
Total Uninstall offers txt and html. I think there is a way to only see what has changed so you wouldn't have to look over 200 pages.I used this when I was troubleshooting my scanner software.
