Stryder
Welcome hodgy,This forum did the same thing to me. Mandrake made a big jump from 8.x to 9.1It would be worth your time if you have broadband to get the free 9.1 distro.

siebkens
I almost joined the Linux world today. Got Knoppix 95% downloaded before my fast connection quit on me. This has become a challenge for me now. I'll keep trying!

GolfProRM
I almost joined the Linux world today. Got Knoppix 95% downloaded before my fast connection quit on me. This has become a challenge for me now. I'll keep trying! Sieb... I'd recommend download a program such as GetRight. It'll help you: 1. Find multiple mirrors to help speedup download2. Pause/Stop/Resume downloads (even if your connection dies)I've had good luck using it to download distros... just run a checksum when you're done... I've only had one disc (out of about 25 different downloads) that I had to redo. Not to shabby huh?
siebkens
I've tried a couple of different downloaders. I tried Download Accelerator Plus (didn't like DAP much) & Leechget. Leechget said that the Knoppix sites didn't support restarts. Actually, if I remember correctly, Leechget wouldn't even start the download.
