"Burster is an initiative by iTechnologie and Blender Project to bring 3D gaming to the web browser. Burster web browser 3D plugin uses the Blender Game Engine to integrate the fascinating world of 3D into a web page. The plugin is free, lightweight and powerful and uses blender player. Excerpts from the official website:"http://www.ubuntuvibes.com/2010/11/burster...ser-plugin.html"Hello, my name is Toby Lieven and this is a demo of what can be done with the Blender Game Engine and the Burster Web Browser Plugin. You can download the plugin for your browser from the Burster Website. The Burster browser plugin is bringing Blender and the Web together. The plugin is very new and to ensure against security exploits you should disable it when visiting sites that you don't trust. "http://www.tobedesign.co.uk/boxapocalypse/Thought this deserved a push. I'm of to try and see if I can load the plugin and play the game which looks quite good fun. B)Back again, well it seems like the GNU/Linux version has some problems :) which is most unusual  so I am going to try out the Windows version. :whistling:

More fun goodies from the Burster project,http://geta3d.com/index.php?option=com_con...3&Itemid=19The car simulation is fun and the Blender Robots are dead cute.I played the Toby Lieven game on XP in FF and it worked just fine. Game play was smooth though it did seem to use a fair bit of cpu. The load time was acceptable and the game was worth the wait. For a free offering and made by a independant developer as a demonstration of the Burster software I personally thought it was teriffic. :whistling: Now who wants to join my new advertising company, Buster and Buster, join now and reap the rewards. Satchi and Satchi watch this space and eat yer hearts out :)

From the download page:

Linux version is temporarily unavailable!
Hope it's fixed soon, this sounds interesting. :whistling: :)Speaking of Blender, I recently downloaded and watched the recent animated film, Sintel. Highly recommended. It's only about 15min. :) Edited by sunrat

An this movie is what really made me look at alternatives to commercial products across the board. I thought if people could make art of this quality for free then I wanted to be involved in some small way. It was my singpost to penguin land and my eventual conversion to being anArchyst. :) http://www.xenobi.com/blue/main.html B)

Thanks for those links, abarbarian! I'd seen the Blender Foundation ones, but most of the independent ones on the second page were awesome. I laughed out loud at The Cup. B) :lol:Unfortunately the torrent for Blue appears to be dead. :) I downloaded the trailer and it looks interesting.

Thanks, abarbarian. Is that your own Pogoplug server?
Yup.A review I did here,http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-4026632.phpand a fairly huge set of pics I posted here,http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/index.php?showtopic=40324I did mention it somewhere else in BATL but it was in the middle of another thread I think and I can not find the link. Don't mention that here though as there are a few Mr Tidys around and I don't want to get a telling of for untidiness  Did you download the movie ? I watched it again and had forgotten the ending so it came as a surprise which was neat. :D If you did download would you give a little feedback as to your experience with the pogostick. :fishing:

Yes i did download the movie, just about to watch it now. I used Kget and it was exactly the same as any other internet server, no problems. Didn't notice the download speed as I started it before dinner and it was finished after dinner. Thanks again! :thumbsup:Just read your post at pcreview. Nice info but I'd like to point out something in your terminology. The term watts refers to power (V x A), not to an amount of energy, so if the unit draws 13 watts, in one hour it would use 13 watt-hours. Electricity is billed in kilowatt-hours so that would be 0.013 kW-Hr. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt_hour and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt#Confusio..._watts_per_hour. As you see in the second article, the confusion is common.

the sintel movie's sound is about 15 seconds ahead of the video.tried the current divx playertried kmplayer too.guess i'll watch it out of whack like that...
Kmplayer is based on mplayer as is Smplayer and there should be a setting available from the top toolber to delay or forward the audio. Edited by abarbarian

the page says:this folder is shared from a pogoplug enabled device that is not available.
The link should work now. I have left the pogoplug running since I posted as I am hosting some pictures from a summer festival that I am involved with.It seems that my landlord is cutting of my electric supply when I am away from home during the day.He thinks that I leave my computer on during the day as this is what I told a friend of his knowing the information would be passed on. However I only leave me pc on at night if I am downloading stuff and that is not very often. The nasty small minded vindictive man is carrying out various forms of harassment ever since I won a legal battle with him over ten years ago. Looks like I'll have to polish me sword up and do battle again. I did tell him not to try crossing swords with me again as he would only loose again. Seems like he did not take the advice. I already have a battle plan that was formulated a couple of years ago. It concerns a small legal requirement that my landlord is not complying with over my tenancy and I have been informed by my legal adviser that he does not have any defence and that when this matter is taken to court he will loose and will have to pay to rectify the matter along with court costs and compensation. I would have taken him to court a long time ago but it is a real bind and pretty time consuming but he seems intent on forcing me to take that route. Still looking on the bright side as this matter has been unresolved for such a long time the compensation :hysterical: claim will be that much bigger.

WOW; is that even legal? I suspect that if all the appliances go on at the same time - when he decided to turn the power back on, it could lead to the appliance failing.
