crp
is it possible to do an inplace update of FC4 to FC7 ? (yes, i know the latest is FC8)I have a myBB that I really don't want to have to reinstall in addition to a shared directory that took me long enough to setup in NFS that I really, really, really don't want to have to do again. striker
Mmm, from what I remember the differences between core 4 and F7 are too big. Pure technically I think it would be possible, but I would strongly advise against it. Sorry!

crp
Is there a way to install FC7 over the wire ?
striker
Download the boot.iso image for a minimal boot CD. Write the image to the appropriate physical media to create bootable media. A download link for ex. could be this one:ftp://alviss.et.tudelft.nl/pub/fedora/lin...i386/os/images/Boot from the desired media, with any options appropriate for your hardware and installation mode. Refer to:http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guid...in-options.htmlfor more information about boot options.
Bruno
Is there a way to install FC7 over the wire ? That is indeed my preferred way of installing Fedora ( because the ISO mirrors are slow when a fresh release is posted, an FTP install is faster ) . . . works like a dream !!You only need the boot.iso like Striker posted and the rest is easy as cake.
