réjean
Hi everyone! I installed Ubuntu 15.10 (I think it's the right number) and I am trying to access Netflix ( my niece has a paid subscription and I am one of her guests. It worked fine in an earlier version of Ubuntu). Now I am being told I need Silverlight to access Netflix using Chromium. Should I install it? securitybreach
Try normal google-chrome for netflix: https://www.reddit.c..._netflix_to_be/ Do not worry about the Ubuntu only thing as it works on all versions of Linux using Google-Chrome.
réjean
Thanks Josh! Now I remember what is the difference between Chrome and Chromium.

lewmur
Working beautifully! Great But Chrome stopped streaming Hulu. Have to use Firefox in Linux and it irritates me 'cause Firefox won't stay in fullscreen mode.
securitybreach
Well that is because Hulu changed the way they deliver content. They changed over back in June and basically killed support for Linux altogether. It may work in Firefox for now but it will not for much longer. When this first happened, I called and raised **** with them and dropped my paid account that had been active for over two years. More info here: https://www.reddit.c..._linux_support/ http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2290743 Basically there is nothing at all you can do besides run the window's version in wine. Wine is NOT an option for me. No way am I going to run Windows on my Linux box except via a virtual machine. If I lose Firefox access to Hulu, I'll probably cancel my subscription. Don't see running a VB session just for it. OTOH, I've pretty much viewed all of the Netflix content that appeals to me. Oh well. :'(
securitybreach
Hence why I cancelled my Hulu subscription.
Guest LilBambi
I just use one of my other OSes, and it should still work on ChromeCast, right? Will have to test that. If I can't do it on Chromecast, there's no point in keeping Hulu.

Guest LilBambi
Yeah, which is one good reason to have alternatives available.
