Guest LilBambi
Due to various exploits of late in forum software and/or PHP, image uploads for avatars has been disabled. Linking of avatars from your own site or image sites still works as before.Further, due to a brand new PHP exploit, all image postings have been disabled for jpeg/jpg files (gif files are still fine, as apparently so are png files) until the problem can be fixed. Thanks to Paul Laudanski at CastleCops through Corrine for making this exploit known to us. :thumbsup:We will keep you posted as new developments are made known. epp_b
PHP JPEG exploit? Interesting -- do you have a link?
Guest LilBambi
As soon as we have an actual link on it, we post it. It was brand new, and Paul has contacted the different vendors for forum software, but the actual exploit code and so forth hasn't been published as yet, at least as far as I know.He is likely trying to give the vendors time to mitigate the PHP problem before it is made public.I am sure that as soon as Corrine has the full information/permission to release, we will be able to share that information.
