AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) is officially shutting down on December 15th, Oath announced this morning. {{{SNIP}}} Oath – the new Verizon company that includes AOL, Yahoo, and yes, Engadget – isn't saying what, exactly, will be replacing AIM.
