Vagabond
I propose that the next new distro be named Kairuku. Yeah, Kairuku is extinct, but...he was big, powerful, and would be a good icon to link us to the days when Unix ruled the roost. --Well, OK, maybe not. I'll shut up now. ichase
Well Vagabond, you got my vote. I say we all install LFS and start work immediately. All jokes aside, it fit's right in with the history of Linux and the incorporation of the mighty penguin.
réjean
Kairuku it shall be then. It must have been a fine specimen in its time. Now what flavour will the distro have?

abarbarian
Gets my vote Will it be Arch Kairuku or Kairuku Arch Tropical penguins have been found aswell you know, The Icadyptes salasi penguin would dwarf all the penguins who walk the planet today. It would have stood head and shoulders over the emperor and the king penguins of the southern seas. Its well-preserved skeleton was discovered in the Department of Ica on the southern coast of Peru along with the remains of as many as four other previously undiscovered penguin species, all of which appear to have preferred the tropics for colder climes. V.T. Eric Layton
A big fat penguin like that would have to be running a nice bloated DE/WM like KDE4.
sunrat
I propose OpenSunrat, just because I should have something named after me! Also the word "bloat" is much overused lately. My KDE4 system boots to 15% of my modest 2GB of RAM. This is half what Win7 takes.
