Pale Moon Security Update, v24.7.2

From the Announcement (emphasis added)

 

Pale Moon has been updated to 24.7.2, a small update addressing a few security issues and small bugs.

This will be the last update of the 24.* series of Pale Moon (unless something absolutely critical pops up that needs an immediate fix). The next version will be a new major version 25.

 

Release notes for this version:

 

Fixes/changes:

 

  • Use (i) icon for error console informational messages instead of (?)
  • Properly derive and insert the host of a URL security fix
  • Avoid negative audio ratios. security fix
  • Release XPCOM timer immediately after firing to prevent a race condition.
  • Add is-object check to IonBuilder::makeCallHelper. security fix

Note that Windows XP will not be supported with version 25 of Pale Moon, although I understand that the specialised Atom (x86) version, which is optimised for the older Atom netbooks and their restricted hardware, will work.
