pc-tecky
With so many different services available, what is the best practice to secure SMTP so it's not an openrelay and yet still allow multiple web servers with an ASP.Net application to still send out emails through this server? pc-tecky
Hmm... puzzled, I thought I stated it was a win2k3 server? Well, never too late. Ah, ok, I'm aware of that screen with those settiings, and it has been set. I'm thinking anonymous access is undesirable. So, would I want to enable basic authentication or integrated windows authenication, and do these differ?I'm thinking enabling authentication would prevent the ASP.Net app from sending out emails then right? How would you overcome that undesired effect? Edited September 14, 2006 by pc-tecky
