securitybreach
I did not know it but Tex (Bill Reynolds) may be dying of Cancer. I hope that he is able to beat cancer but it doesn't sound very good: Hey guys, I'm not doing well. Cancer is kicking my butt. I just wanted you to know that I most likely won't be around much longer. I also wanted to thank you all so much for your friendships and sharing the PCLinuxOS journey with me through the years. Please pray for me. https://www.pclinuxo...html#msg1248594 https://plus.google.com/+BillReynolds

zlim
Sad to hear that. PCLinux was one of the few distros I installed.
securitybreach
Sad to hear that. PCLinux was one of the few distros I installed. Well, I would imagine that it would stay around as he does other devs working on the project. If it is like other distros who have lost their creators (Ian Murdock with Debian and others), they will be picked up by other maintainers. PCLos isn't as popular as it once was but I have no doubt that it will stay around for many years. That said, I always liked Tex and enjoyed talking with him back in the day. He is a good guy IMO.
