DarkSerge
I recently installed a Blu-ray drive on my system. Any good Blu-ray playback software out there? I've got one called Leawo which is so-so but I realized I never posted here about it so I thought maybe somebody here might have some nice suggestions. I tried to get VLC to play Blu-ray, but I couldn't seem to get it to work. I don't watch a lot of Blu-ray on my system, but it couldn't hurt to have decent software. Windows 10 Home with all updates. zlim
Since Bluray is owned by Sony, and they have the codecs, you have to do some tweaking. See if this will work https://videoconverter.wondershare.com/vlc/use-vlc-to-play-blu-ray-movies.html Note: I have no Bluray DVDs and I don't run Win 10 so I can't test this on our Win 7 computers. goretsky
Hello, Many years ago, a former co-worker of mine recommended a program called AnyDVD HD from a company called SlySoft. It worked by bypassing the copy protection on discs so you could watch them with a program like VLC. While the use of the software may be legally questionable, it is still being sold, which implies that a bank looked at the level of risk around this software and still decided to process credit card orders for them. That, to me, is an indicator that the software may be legitimate enough to purchase. If you are looking for a turnkey program, here are some which can play Blu-ray discs under Windows: Corel WinDVD Cyberlink PowerDVD JRiver MediaCenter Leawo Blu-ray Player MediaPortal Some of these may require purchasing a software maintenance agreement in order to obtain support for playing Blu-ray discs with new copy-protection techniques as they come out. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
DarkSerge
Blu-ray error: This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it. I followed all the instructions and I still get this message. I've tried in the past with copying and pasting the key files and the library to various folders and nothing. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky The Slysoft programs were excellent when I used them on my XP pc. They also make this excellent free software for Windows, Virtual CloneDrive Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive, however it exists only virtually. Image files generated with CloneBD/CloneDVD/CloneCD or other applications like ImgBurn can be mounted onto a virtual drive from your hard-disk or from a network drive and used in the same manner as inserting them into a normal CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive. Clone Drive could be quite useful for folk who no longer have a pc with a physicla cd/dvd drive.
