raymac46
I still don't have the April Creators Update on my Lenovo laptop. Based on the screwups some folks have had in trying to update manually, I don't care. It seems there is a lot of crap I don't use anyway. Corrine
I've had no problems with my 2008 laptop. In fact, my desktop, also 2008, has been running the Fast Ring Insider Preview Builds with no issues. I had to wait a while before the Creators Update (Version 1703) was offered to my HP Stream 7 tablet (only 32 GB) but the update worked fine. The tentative end of support for 1703 is September 2018, one year after the Fall Update. You could always run the Update Assistant (Download Windows 10). If there is a problem with the installation, it will automatically roll back to the previous version.
raymac46
My Acer desktop with Windows 10 Pro is also running build 1607. Neither one has updated. I'll keep waiting.

sunrat
I find it amusing that MS call it a creators update when mostly people do FB, email and web browsing.
Corrine
Supposedly, it is because the update helps everyone to be a creator. There are enhanced handwriting, pen and StoryRemix. Although I don't believe it is all inclusive, here's a list of some of the new features: I Windows 10 Fall Creators Update: All new features in a nutshell.

goretsky
Hello, Upgraded a few computers at work, plus one at home. Had a few problems on machines/VMs that were running old beta versions of some anti-malware software. I guess that was my lesson to check with the devs for newer versions more often.
