With Debian Stable, I don't worry about updates breaking anything. I didn't even hesitate to bring in these updates for my Debian 8 installations. Issues could come up, I suppose.

Like all OSes, I do wait for the early adopters to work out the initial bugs.

Agreed! I only use Ubuntu LTS versions; but even then, I wait for the point release!

Better to be safe than sorry, I suppose, but how often does a Debian Stable point release cause problems? Perhaps it's more common than what I've experienced here. I don't recall ever seeing any breakage after bringing in updates for Stable. Lol, I probably just jinxed myself! Oh, well, I've already done it, maybe I should keep my fingers crossed. Makes it kinda hard to type, though. B)

Point release is mainly to make up-to-date media available for new installations. If you have an installed Jessie system and regularly update and upgrade, your system will be up to date anyway.
