raymac46
It is probably overkill but I have set up my little blogsite with Cloudflare. This gives me a few advantages: Improved security and DDOS attack protection. Server caching and redundancy Fewer spambots Faster loading Lower bandwidth usage. Probably I wouldn't have done this but it's free for small fish like me. It was easy enough: Sign up for a Cloudflare account and get an API key. Set up Wordpress with a Cloudflare plugin and add in the API key. Get your Host Provider to switch your DNS servers over to those Cloudflare provides. My Host Provider is a Cloudflare partner so they did it for me without any hassles. It'll take 48 hours to get everything working but in the meantime, I still see my website so it's available. I'll report back if I see any improvement in speed.
securitybreach
This is why I refuse to use or even support Cloudflare: The Trouble with CloudFlare Of course, Cloudflare has their opinion: The Trouble with Tor I get their point but they made Tor useless when trying to visit normal, non .onion websites. They put you through endless capchas. A lot of users are on Tor for privacy and security, moreso than the kids who are there for nefarious things. There is way more bad things on the normal net than there ever was on the "DarkNet". BTW Cloudflare is the company behind those captchas where you have to click the matching images. In my opinion, Cloudflare is as evil as Apple or Microsoft ever though about. Nice that you got things set up but I do not think using Cloudflare was a good idea.... raymac46
Not a problem for me as so many of my friends and family know nothing about Tor. I just connected via VPN from the UK with no issues. I'll take the improved performance and security thanks.
raymac46
@Josh if you are using Tor wait a couple of days and then try to access: https://104vaughan.ca/wp and let me know what happens.

It's easy enough to host your own websites with great security. @Josh if you are using Tor wait a couple of days and then try to access: https://104vaughan.ca/wp and let me know what happens. Will do.

raymac46
Neat site mate @Erik thanks. I had a blog with Blogger as early as 2002 but set up my own domain in 2014. This way I can keep it non-commercial and install my own themes and plug-ins. It's mostly for friends and family, to keep them up to date about what's going on in our lives generally. securitybreach
@Josh if you are using Tor wait a couple of days and then try to access: https://104vaughan.ca/wp and let me know what happens. It works fine on Tor. I did read your post and wanted to point out that they do block Tor sites as there are endless captchas of which you cannot get past.
