Google no longer supports picasa and is putting everything in google photo's, they are also doing away with apps. TIA Mel

You can add stickers to pictures whatever they are, would that be similar to captions ? https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/categories/201201803-The-Basics Edited September 2, 2016 by abarbarian
Hedon James
I'm not much of a user of photo apps, so not sure if I'll be helpful, but I read up a lot on software. So I tend to be AWARE of options, but I'm only familiar with whatever I use. With that said, what functionality are you trying to replace with Picasa? If it's the photo editing, I'd guess that Shotwell or Fotoxx or DigiKam may suit your needs. Or perhaps check out these alternatives: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/7-picasa-alternatives-made-linux/ If it's the online hosting & sharing, perhaps look into open-source Lychee: https://lychee.electerious.com/ That's about the extent of my knowledge with photo apps...
mhbell
Thanks Guys Imgur is not what I am looking for. Gthumb or maybe Digikam might work. I will check all of them out. Sure hope I can find something that is comparable. Mel .
sunrat
DigiKam is good if you use KDE. Probably good if you don't anyway but will pull in a few dependencies.
