Guest LilBambi
The forums were down due to various power related items in regard to the webserver's location in NYC. It still seems abit slow but I think that can be chalked up to the horendous mess after Sandy Frankenstorm. But it's back now! Yea!

Guest LilBambi
Huge customer effort keeps flooded NYC data center running - Computerworld How do you get hundreds of gallons of fuel up 17 stories? Your customers carry it Peer1's data center had smoothly switched over to generator power, but when Con Edison cut electric power to lower Manhattan, the rooftop generator couldn't access the 20,000 gallon fuel tank in the flooded basement. Its pumping system was disabled by storm waters from Hurricane Sandy. Don't know if this is the same data center we have or not. (Likely not since we actually did have downtime and Peer1's data center apparently did not). But I bet they learned a hard lesson that day!
