Owyn
I have been tracking the Debian bug status for the last week. Looks real good for Sarge as stable for the end of the year. Still shaking out some things in Sid, primarily gcc/Qt/KDE and d - i (The new debian installer). Some delays just because of the validation process and mandatory waiting periods. My guess is that the key pieces will be ready for more extensive testing by the end of October.

Owyn
From the Mailing List. Well, if you (or someone) want this to be included in the debian/sarge release, then i would like to have a patch for it rather sooner than later, since the sarge release is scheduled for december 1, and the official freeze time for it has already started, or will start on october 15. Owyn
PS: Looks like all the patches have just been uploaded to fix the Apache/Perl 5.8 problems in Sid plus the latest upstream changes. Good chance these will now make it to Sarge before the cutoff.
