V.T. Eric Layton
I didn't even notice the tags. I'm quite cat-like when it comes to surprises, you know... I don't like them. Unless, of course, they have something to do with receiving this: Then surprises are just fine and dandy.
abarbarian
Ok I'll give you a clue.Or clues.Pick a clue any clue. Pieces of eight were legal tender in the USA until 1857 The expression 'as rich as Croesus' is used today to mean fabulously rich. These banknotes continued to be issued by the Board of Revenue throughout the Ming dynasty, but inflation quickly eroded their value. The Gupta dynasty gold coin was named the dinara after the Roman denarius aureus Shown here on the reverse of this coin, Athena (or Athene) was a virgin goddess of arts, crafts and war, and patroness of the city of Athens. The reform involved substituting any images on the coins for writing. It was principally done because of the unease felt by Muslim clerics against the portrayal of images. This coin – a perfectly ordinary penny minted in 1903 – was part of this civil disobedience. Stamped with the suffragette slogan “votes for women”, it circulated as small change, and spread the message of the campaigners. Islamic law forbids exchanging money for profit and this card is Shari'a compliant, meaning that interest cannot be received on savings, or charged on borrowings. Got it yet ! V.T. Eric Layton
Nah... I think my pen is dry these days. I have a half-finished detective novel that I haven't gotten back to in over three years. ===== I'm thinking that Erik is referring to an SSD. Hmm... is there something winging its way to me from Amazon.uk or somewhere like that? If so, that would be wonderful, but undeserved. Thinking outside the box was good though and is in itself is a partial clue.Perhaps it should be thinking inside the box. If you can find the connection between theses clues you will almost have the answer.
