Guest ThunderRiver Posted May 20, 2003 Share Posted May 20, 2003 I have always complained about OpenOffice due to its slowness, but so far, I can't seem to find a satisfactory program other than running CrossOver Office. Bruno Posted May 20, 2003 Share Posted May 20, 2003 I just use OO.o, and yes it loads slower in Linux then the same OO.o does in WindowsXP. ( that did surprise me big time )But that is just because XP keeps it pre-loaded all the time in the background.Guess it won´t take long before you can have the same ¨running in the background¨ function for Linux, but then do we really want any more programs running without constant using them ?There are several other Office Packages: Koffice ( well we know that one ) Hancom Office , Office Anyware ( good compatibility with MS ).
