Sorry man but there are places for off topic posts but this isn't where they go. I will have to move the post to The Restaurant at the Edge of the Universe section of the forums.

Thanks

Temps dropping in Florida. Lows tomorrow morning 38F-42F. BRRRRRR! _freddo_zps3da47c9e.gif

I realize you're in FL, but be advised my temps here rival those in Ottawa--my thermometer says 12 F now so I expect it will be around zero tonight. Again, ugh.

Last couple weeks it dropped to -10C a couple of times as the skies at night have been almost cloudless. But when the sun comes out the frost on the grass just vanishes except in the shade . I don't care if it's cold so long as it's dry .

I really don't know how you people live in those northern climes. I guess you can get acclimated to anything if you're there long enough.

The coldest I've ever been was one time when I was caught up in the mountains in NC where my mom's cabin was. It got down to about 18F that night. I was in a nice warm hotel room, though. The cabin wasn't finished at the time (just a shell w/ roof and windows/doors installed). I would have froze to death up there and they wouldn't have found me till spring when I thawed and started stinking up the mountainside. ;)

Well we got to the 30s and 40s for Friday-Sunday but Monday is back near 70 and all week will be in the high 70s... Another reason to live in the deep south...

23F this morning in Covington, LA (about 40 miles north of New Orleans). Puddles in the street next to the curb were frozen over. No chasing the little white ball today with the high only in the mid-40s. But I'm not complaining too much because it was -22F this morning at my brothers house in Bemidji, MN!

Will it start heating back up tomorrow in Covington?

It's a lot easier to keep warm in a cold climate than it is to keep cool in a hot one . Plus the air is cleaner .All one needs to do is layer up when outside. But be careful not to perspire as that can freeze and really drop your core temp . It never gets so cold here that it's unbearable .

Once fell asleep in a snowdrift on the Buxton pass. High up in the Pennines . I dreamt about the white lady and that woke me up . The coldest I ever was . Dug my way out of the drift ,shook out my sleeping bag and stomped on down the road . What really scared me at the time was that the snow felt warm . So I knew something was wrong .

Guess it wasn't my time to go . o:)

Low of 30F this morning before sunrise. Weather liars are saying we'll hit 60F for a high today. Back to the 70's by mid-week which is more typical of our weather in S.E. Louisiana..

Meh... it only got down to about 40 F this morning in Tampa. Yesterday morning it was officially 34 F at Tampa Int'l Airport (about a mile to the west of me).
