The The Restaurant at the Edge of the Universe, previously known as The Water Cooler, is a place to post stuff that has absolutely nothing at all to do with computers, broadband, Scot's Newsletter, or anything that's "supposed" to be here.
About the only thing I don't buy online are groceries. I happen to live in a 400 unit apt bldg for the elderly and the mailboxes are in the lobby in sight of a security guard 24/7. The mailman or delivery driver will leave packages by my door if I'm not here but there is limited access to the bldg and cameras in all the hallways. So, I've never had a package go missing. I didn't lose money on the counterfeit SDs because both Amazon and eBay have very liberal return policies. It just an inconvenience having to return them and wait for replacements.
Not sure. I didn't put anything about that in my notes. I'm normally quite meticulous about my installation notes.
Anyway, not trying to sell Anarchy or to convince anybody else to use it. Saved me a lot of time, and I'm happy with the end result -- so far, at least.
I really tried to keep things simple during the installation. From my notes:
Select your desired install option: Anarchy-Desktop - Quick desktop install.
Select your desired environment: Anarchy-xfce4.
Gave user sudo rights and changed the shell from default zsh to bash.
Would you like to install some common software? Yes.
(Installed audacious, firefox, geany.)
