Isn't Android 4.1 free for hardware makers to use? I saw a couple of 2.3, a few 3.0 and a lot of 4.0 but not one 4.1 ! Why would I want to buy a tablet that didn't have 4.1 installed - according to the articles I've read 4.1 is really a major update over 4.0 with lots more functionality for the user and easier "finger manipulation". My real purpose was in looking for cheap, small (9" max) netbooks. Come up empty, quite a few non-small netbooks and lots of light laptops. Why do Chromebooks cost more than almost all the netbooks and laptops I checked out, which all included Win7?
