This looks like the new distro to try. Has anyone messed with it? Great Article on it. I always wanted to do Debian but have always had problems now maybe my prayers are answered.Linux Journal

Argh... Not going to touch something that I can't try out without buying... Definitely not going to pay $70 for a new distro when I can't install it to know if I'll even be able to get it to work! Seems like it's a good distro, but especially when it comes to Linux, I don't feel like I should have to pay for something without trying it out... I'll support a company I believe in, but I've got to know they make something to believe in first! :DJust my 2 cents... and NO! You can't have them! :D

Yea I hear that - I wish they had a trial or something at least. I see cheapbytes has 2.0 so I am gonna wait and see if they get the 2.8 version and order it if they do.

After reading the article that havnblast posted (as well as a few othere dealing with Libranet), it seems that there's quite a bit of difference between 2.0 and 2.8.... I don't like testing older versions to see if I should buy the newer version (especially when we're talking about versions that are 2 years apart)... I understand the need to sell software, but give us a chance to see the current version first! :D

Agreed, have no knowledge of it, just found it at Linuxiso and saw it was free. :)

Hi HavnblastYou say you always wanted to try Debian, why don´t you just install Knoppix on HD ? Gives you a fullblown Debian the easy way !And about these prices for Distro´s: I don´t mind paying, but it should be available for free download too. It´s a bit like Yoper, a very prommissing distro made by a few New Zealanders, the beta versions were free for download, many people got the Yoper-feever. But for the final version they are charging $99 and the beta versions were pulled back from the mirrors . . . . many people got annoyed by their tactics. And with so many alternatives free available on the ¨market¨ people will quickly look the other way.:D Bruno
