Windows 10 to Automatically Remove Updates That Cause Problems

In situations where Windows updates that cause startup failures due to incompatibility or issues in new software the updates will be uninstalled. In addition, Windows will also prevent problematic updates from installing automatically for the next 30 days.

See Why were recently installed updates removed? for additional information.

As long as further damage is not done in the process, I'm all for this! :) That is, as long as personal files, data or programs I want to keep are not uninstalled too, that's great - and I have no doubts protecting user data is a top priority.

Of course, for this to work, the bad update must not brick the computer in the first place. But that has never happened to any of my systems (knock on forehead/wood) and hopefully never will.

I never had a bad update either (also knocking on forehead/wood) and hopefully never will. My thoughts are that there have been enough incidents of conflicts between an update and hardware or an installed program that resulted in this change. Hopefully, anyone this does happen to will follow through and submit the information to the Feedback Hub. The more feedback, the better to see patterns.

That's probably part of it. But I think the bigger reason this was implemented is to appease the bashers and complainers - most of whom I am sure never had problems either. They just parrot other complainers who are repeating what started out as a single complaint that was repeated 10,000 times.
