Vagabond
A friend who uses Fedora told me about this because he knows I enjoy Arch. I had not heard of it, and I don't see it mentioned in BATL, but some folks here probably know it. Anybody got any opinions? http://archbang.org Edit to add: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Based_Distributions_%28Active%29 I never paid any attention to this .... kinda seems like wretched excess to me, but "Something for everybody" is a good idea, eh? securitybreach
Archbang has been around for a few years and is a easy way to get a fully functional Arch (openbox) installation up and running quickly. Once you are finished, you have a full normal Archlinux installation with Openbox setup and a set of default applications. It is like a normal Archlinux installation but with Xorg and Openbox already installed and setup. The reason I do not use it is due to the fact that I have to change too many configurations and install/remove the packages I want so it goes against the KISS philosophy IMHO. For instance, Archbang skips the Configuration steps (rc.conf) when installing the distro: (SOLVED) Archbang vs Arch
