mhbell Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Just Downloaded the Debian Etch (testing) Version for AMD64 (Net Install)So far all is working except sound. For those that don't know "etch" is the next stable version of Debian That will be released when ready. So far it was a smooth install and no problems recognizing my hardware and GigaByte Ethernet card. Sound is not working yet But I havn't tried to see why. I have a Soltek Motherboard with Nvidia chipset and a Nvidia AGP card. no problems with either one. This is the fastest Debian that I have tried and so far the most trouble free installation of Debian. It seems to be very stable so far. will keep you posted. For those with AMD 64 computers it just might be a good choice.
