crp Posted February 26, 2022 Share Posted February 26, 2022 So a couple of weeks a super duper urgent security patch was pushed out by the Chrome browser people. But just the Chrome browser did so. Not Brave. Not Vivaldi. Not Opera. Not Edge. So the security vulnerability *only* applied to Chrome itself and not the "Chromium" ? Debian has upgraded Chromium 4 times this year already for security reasons. I wouldn't use any of those other browsers, tried 3 of them and deleted rapidly. Edge? you gotta be joking! zlim Posted February 26, 2022 Share Posted February 26, 2022 Chrome versus Chromium, I suppose, is the same as FF versus FF ESR. FF might get an update and if it is not security, or ESR doesn't have that particular bell and whistle that the patch fixes, ESR will not get the update.
