zlim
A woman in the UK is looking for a Qwerty bluetooth keyboard that works in linux. It's a birthday present for her husband. Anyone use a bluetooth keyboard and if so, in what distro? I just posted asking her what distro. If or when I get more info, I'll add it. I use two bluetooth keyboards but only in android. They support Windows (tried them on the one device that has bluetooth), iOS and android out of the box.
securitybreach
Bluetooth devices will work on any linux distro as long as you have a bluetooth daemon running. Personally, I like blueman.
zlim
Explain how you get this bluetooth daemon. After you get it, what must you do to be sure it is running? Simple language because neither of us runs linux.
securitybreach
Well it would depend on your distro but basically you install blueman and start the systemd service. This will give you a nice overview and most of it is compatible with any distro https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth
securitybreach
If you can the distro and version, I can give you a link explaining how to set it up or I can help you troubleshoot it.

securitybreach
Good deal. Then they should have an bluetooth icon in the notification area of the taskbar. Like anything bluetooth, you have to put the device in pairing mode and then click the bluetooth icon on the taskbar and find your device. Then pair it and you should be good to go. securitybreach
Usually bluetooth works the same, no matter the OS (mobile or not).
securitybreach
Now if it also requires special software (most don't), it may get trickier.
