Capt.Crow
Hey it's only DNA. Doesn't mean that the lads were all philanderers. It crops up everywhere. China India Ireland The states . etc etc. I read once that the human race has six distinctive streams.
V.T. Eric Layton
If you go back far enough, we all have DNA that descended from one little lady in Africa about 50,000 generations ago. https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/
Capt.Crow
Afraid not so . That was just the one strain . There are five others. I will go back to the book stacks and see if I can find more info. Just to start there was cro-magnum .neanderthal . and so forth. Wish my memory was better.

Capt.Crow
After Homo erectus . 1.8 million years ago There was Homo Heidelbergensis . 600000 years ago . That's the progenitor of the western Homo sapiens. 200000 yrs ago. So we've been around altogether ,including our ancestral primates 2.8 million years.
V.T. Eric Layton
No. No. No. Nat'l Geo's Genographic Project is ONLY about tracking the DNA ancestry of human beings AKA Homo-sapiens. Those other species you mention, Erectus, Neanderthal, et. al. were not Homo-sapiens. Watch this TED vid of Dr. Spencer Wells talking about the project.
