USB Controller issues in XP Pro

Ever since I had issues with my new Palm Pilot (which I did resolve), and reinstalled the USB drivers, my USB controller says it's drivers are not installed. I've tried reinstalling them from windows, from the original CD, and from Windows update (VIA says for USB drivers in XP you have to use Windows Update ;) ). Everytime I install a driver, I get this error... I've tried a bunch of different things... uninstalling all my USB drivers and reinstalling them from WinUpdate, but still not working... I'm not having any issues with my USB on my WinServer2k3 partition, so I'm sure it's not a hardware problem... Most of my USB stuff works (Palm Pilot sync), but I had to plug my mouse back into the PS/2 port to get it to work...Here's the error I get when I install (no matter what driver I use)usberror.jpgAny suggestions? <_< ;) ;) My XP Pro machine: Processor: AMD AthlonXP 2000+ Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7VAXP RAM: 512 MB DDR PC2700 (333 Mhz) Harddrive: 80Gb Western Digital 7200rpm ATA100 Video: 128 Mb GeForce4 Ti4200 8x AGP Audio: Onboard - six channel (buying SB Audigy soon) CDROM: 52x24x52 CD-RW drive Other: 6 USB 2.0 ports, 5 PCI slots, 1 8x AGP slot. OS: Windows XP Professional/Mandrake 9.1

Did you check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base? Which Palm Pilot is it? I hope it is not Sony Clie because it is a killer.
