epp_b
I'm looking for a good PHP Editor that is scalable, exandable, and flexible. I'm open to shareware/trial-ware/freeware.
havnblast
Maguma Studio is freeHomePageWorks great
epp_b
I tried that, and I almost puked at the new interface. The old one was much better, but I can't find it anywhere. And I find the "Project" idea absolutely pointless. I can manage my project files from a directory on my hard drive, thank-you - "Project" features just add confusion and cumbersomeness to the job.Oh, did I mention I'm stingy on the interface? havnblast
They revamp it? I guess I don't have the new version so I don't know what it looks like Well I guess that sucks than - Edit Plus 2? ever try that one? www.editplus.com
Guest LilBambi
DzSoft PHP Editor 1.4 (shareware) - even has an internal viewer that will let you view the PHP page without a webserver installed locally. Here's a page with a whole list of PHP editors for Windows and UNIX:PHP Everywhere: PHP editors for Windows and UNIXPersonally, I just use Crimson Editor -- it's a great 'jack of all trades' kind of editor. havnblast
See for myself I prefer EditPlus2 over Crimson Editor, but I know a lot here like Crimson Editor.
epp_b
I've tried DZSoft, and it's OK, but limited. It doesn't do everything I'd like. Crimson Editor, IMO, is poorly developed as it does not have very much expandability at all.I've started using PSPad, and, despite a few minor interface quirks, I think I like it. epp_b
Yup, I'll definately be keeping this one - it has a huge feature-set that I don't know how I lived without before
Guest LilBambi
Yep, PSPad is cool too! I used PSPad for a long time before moving to Crimson Editor.I still use it for certain things. ;)Don't forget to get the PSPad spellchecker.
epp_b
Yeah, the spell checker is quite handy at times. That's the first I've seen in a FREE programming editor.

SonicDragon
I think HTML-Kit has spell check also. I use HTML-Kit for almost everything in windows. It's a great program.
