greets, linuxians.

jigdo is cool - while it can download all files need to create a distro,

it can also download only files not already on your pc (or cd or dvd...)

quite awesome!

anyone hear use jigdo to acquire new / upgraded distro's ?

Of course, you could always just use rsync and accomplish the same thing.

Not exactly. jigdo can assemble a CD/DVD image by downloading it's component files. I've looked into it several times, but always end up just downloading a netinstall image for Debian and let it do the downloading of needed files during installation.

i'v also used the network install.

i now like jigdo because it will only download newly needed files.

really handy if you already have a fairly recent disk

and only need to get the changed files!

securitybreach

Well you can use rsync to sync the directory that holds the ISO files online which would be the same or maybe I am missing something .
