I ran the command from this page. http://wiki.debian.org/Clementine apt-get -t squeeze-backports install clementine I have no clue why it won't install thru Synaptic. Two guesses - perhaps you did not update your sources after editing your sources.list. You need to do this in Synaptic, or apt-get update, after changing sources to update the local available packages list. Also the -t option forces apt to use the repository specified in the command, in this case backports. Clementine is not available in the standard squeeze repos.
