blin Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 Symptoms: When trying to create VPN connection on a XP Pro, we find that theConnect using a dial-up modem or VPN option in the New Connection Wizard isunavailable (gray out).we followed MS Q320558, Q259886 and Q329441 and did: 1) Reinstall SP1a for Windows XP;2) Check the NextID value: there is NextID underHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\Cards;3) Delete the Telephony keyHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony.Reboot.No fix so far.
